In loving memory of our wonderful Mum Ruth West (goofy Ruthie) who we will all miss greatly.
Mum had a call from all her departed friends (invite only) to join them for a special reunion party.
She was a mother, a friend, an incredible listener and a great inspirer of art, literature and life knowledge.

Thoughts
My darling Ruth. You were a wonderful friend to my Dad and through him I met you and your family. You were like a second Mum to my daughter when she and Alison were growing up and I shall never forget the Friday nights at your place in the 70s. I hope you are going somewhere tranquil and full of peace and that Dad, and all of those dear people who have passed are waiting for you with a big welcome party. Rest in Peace

Ruth was a long-standing and enthusiastic member of the Wanstead WEA/ Literature Group - even when she was unwell, she made a determined effort to attend and was always very cheerful in spite of her later difficulties.. She obviously loved books, as well as films, theatre and music, and had an incisive and lively mind - when Ruth spoke everyone really listened. Her tastes were wide and included Paul Auster and Paul Simon. She was a great member of the class and will be very badly
missed.

Dear Auntie Ruth, you will be so sadly missed. You always made me feel happy and safe when I spent so many wonderful times at your house as a child. You were and still are an amazing lady. Love and miss you. Sara xx
